Dear Me 20 Years Ago,

I realized that I almost forgot to share about a certain Middle Man's birthday

and that

would have been such a shame

because he is such a joy!

This boy

loves to sit in his mom's lap

can't get enough time playing any and every sport

is thrilled to sit and listen to books

likes to tell jokes

has a deep gut laugh

adores his big brother and wants to be like him

likes to play games with his sisters (and laughs that deep gut laugh)

watches over his little brother

has a very tender heart

loves animals

is very mischeivous

loves music and the drums

thrives on encouragement and praise

likes to read certain stories in the Bible over and over

has many questions

loves vegetables

likes to look at picture and hear stories

his name means "provider of comfort" 

Before he was born we had always said we would name a third boy "Noah."  I don't even know why we said that.  After Micah died and we learned we had another baby on the way, we decided since we had always said that, that we should name the baby Noah if it was a boy.  Then we looked up what his name meant...

God is so good.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of each of our children but specifically for our middle man in light of his birthday.  His life was the beginning of healing in our hearts.  Capture his heart, Lord.  We pray he will be a man of integrity who brings you and your kingdom much glory in the ways he lives life and serves  you.  Use His joy and tender heart to minister to the lives of others.  Thank you for blessing us with him right when we needed him.
